The genus Lomax (LOH-max) is a new unispecific genus consisting of a species that used to belong to the genus Pleurothallis. Lomax is distinguished by a small habit; thick, petiolate, short-stemmed leaves; and a simultaneously and successively flowered raceme that far exceeds the leaves.
