(M. veitchiana x M. pulcherrima)
Plant ID: 00649
This cross produced a rather interesting flower. It has two to three flowers per inflorescence with one or two being open at the same time. It has a form like neither parent, but favors the M. pulcherrima parent. The red central spotting of M. pulcherrima was retained, but M. veitchiana contributed a golden yellow color that fades as the flower ages. There also are no colored hairs from M. veitchiana.
