(M. coccinea alba x M. Dark Star)
Plant ID: 03556
M. Dark Star is N. macrura crossed with M. cucullata. M. macrura has given this flower some of it's size and substance. M. cucullata has given it large floral bracts that cover the ovary. M. coccinea, though the alba form, is responsible for it's color. Often the other colors of M. coccinea will come through even though the alba form is used. It depends on what the combination is. M. cucullata has some deep purple- maroon.
